The Société Anonyme under the corporate name ‘COSMOTE PAYMENTS – E-MONEY SERVICES SINGLE-MEMBER SOCIÉTÉ ANONYME’ (hereinafter ‘COSMOTE Payments’ or the ‘Organiser’), seated in Marousi, Attica (99, Kifissias Avenue), is organising, in cooperation with ‘GERMANOS SINGLE-MEMBER INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL COMPANY OF ELECTRONIC-TELECOMMUNICATION MATERIALS AND SUPPLY OF TELECOMMUNICATION SERVICES’ and ‘HELLENIC TELECOMMUNICATIONS ORGANIZATION S.A.’, a contest (hereinafter the ‘Contest’) titled ‘payzy Contest | GERMANOS and COSMOTE TELEKOM Gift Vouchers’, the purpose of which is to distribute, by means of a draw, gift vouchers of monetary value (hereinafter ‘Gift Voucher(s)’) to its customers – users of the payzy application (hereinafter the ‘App’) – for redemption against purchases of products exclusively at the physical stores of the companies ‘GERMANOS SINGLE-MEMBER INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL COMPANY OF ELECTRONIC-TELECOMMUNICATION MATERIALS AND SUPPLY OF TELECOMMUNICATION SERVICES’ and ‘HELLENIC TELECOMMUNICATIONS ORGANIZATION S.A.’, at the stores of their commercial partners (licensees) operating under the GERMANOS, OTE or COSMOTE trademarks, and at the online store germanos.gr, excluding the online store cosmote.gr (hereinafter the ‘Stores’).
The purpose of these terms (hereinafter the ‘Terms’) is to define the terms of participation in the Contest and the draw procedure, including the identification of the persons selected to receive the Gift Vouchers (hereinafter the ‘Winner(s)’), as well as the persons entitled to receive the corresponding Gift Voucher in the event that any of the Winners does not meet the conditions for collecting it, in accordance with these Terms (hereinafter the ‘Runner-up(s)’).
1. The right to participate in the Contest is granted to all permanent residents of Greece who hold a Greek Tax Identification Number (TIN), are legally competent, are at least 18 years of age, and hold a payment account with COSMOTE Payments in their name. Employees of COSMOTE Payments are excluded from participation in the Contest. Should any of the above persons be selected as Winner(s), they shall be excluded from the final list of Winners and replaced by the corresponding Runner-up(s).
2. For the purposes of the present Contest, the term Participant (hereinafter ‘Participant(s)’) refers to any user of the App who successfully completes the participation process as set out below. In order for an App user to be considered a valid Participant in the Contest, they must log into the App, be authenticated as a user thereof, and accept these Terms via the relevant field available throughout the Duration of the Contest in the ‘Win with payzy’ section. Furthermore, for participation to be valid, the Participant must, after accepting the Terms, select the ‘Enter’ field.
3. The duration of the Contest, within which Participants may take part and accept the Terms, is from 24/04/2026, 00:00:01 through 04/05/2026, 23:59:59 (hereinafter the ‘Duration’).
4. The Winners shall be selected by means of a draw to be held on Tuesday 5 May at 11:00:00 a.m., at the Organiser’s offices (99, Kifissias Avenue).
5. The draw shall be conducted using electronic means that ensure the random and impartial selection of Winners and preclude any human intervention in the selection process. It is clarified that each Participant may be selected as a Winner only once (1) during the Contest.
6. The draw shall produce ten (10) Winners and twenty (20) Runners-up. Specifically, each of the ten (10) Winners shall receive one (1) Gift Voucher with a value of one hundred and fifty euros (150€).
7. The redemption period for the Gift Vouchers is until 31/10/2026, 23:59:59. After this date, the Gift Voucher shall be deactivated and redemption or replacement shall not be possible. The Gift Voucher may be used only once, exclusively at the Stores, for the purchase of products available through them. Gift Vouchers may not be redeemed at the cosmote.gr online store. If the transaction value is less than the amount of the Gift Voucher, the remaining balance shall be forfeited and no cash refund shall be made. If the transaction value exceeds the amount of the Gift Voucher, the Winner shall be required, upon redemption, to pay the remaining balance using any available payment method. Gift Vouchers may not be exchanged for cash and may not be used for the purchase of services, including, by way of example and without limitation, bill payments, security deposits, technical support services, talk time top-ups (virtual credit or vouchers), or other related services. The value of the Gift Voucher is deducted from the final transaction value and may be combined with other applicable offers, promotions, discounts, loyalty programmes, discount cards, coupons and/or device subsidies, provided that these Terms and the terms of the relevant offers and promotions are met. The Gift Voucher is intended strictly for personal use by the Winner (or, where applicable, the Runner-up) and its transfer, assignment or distribution to third parties is expressly prohibited. In the event of loss, theft, or use by a third party, COSMOTE Payments and the Stores shall bear no liability and shall not be obliged to replace, cancel, or reimburse the value of the Gift Voucher in any way.
8. The Winners (and, where necessary, the Runner(s)-up) of the Contest shall be notified and shall receive their Gift Voucher via SMS and/or newsletter from the Organiser within one (1) business day of the draw and the announcement of the Contest results. Should one or more Winners be found not to meet the requirements of these Terms and/or applicable legislation, and therefore be disqualified from the Contest, their Gift Voucher(s) shall be awarded to the corresponding Runner(s)-up in the order in which they were selected. By participating in the Contest, Participants agree that COSMOTE Payments may use their contact details, namely their telephone number, email address, etc., in order to contact them in the event of their selection as Winners/Runners-up, as set out above.
9. The data controller is the Organiser, namely the société anonyme with the corporate name ‘COSMOTE PAYMENTS – E-MONEY SERVICES SINGLE-MEMBER SOCIÉTÉ ANONYME’, whose details are set out above.
The following personal data of the Participants (hereinafter the ‘Data Subjects’) shall be collected and processed for participation in the Contest:
- The date and time of entry into the Contest.
- Full name.
- Gift Voucher code, amount, and redemption details, in the case of Winners.
- Employment details, in order to exclude the possibility of a Winner or Runner-up being selected from among the excluded persons referred to in Term 1.
The data are collected for the purpose of carrying out the Contest in accordance with these Terms, as well as to serve the contract concluded between the Participants and COSMOTE Payments, under which Participants maintain a payment account with the latter. By participating in the Contest, the Participant consents to the processing of their personal data as set out in these Terms. Under these terms, the personal data collected shall be retained for a period of five (5) years from the date on which the Winners and Runners-up are selected. Upon expiry of this deadline, the data shall be deleted, unless another provision of law or regulatory act requires them to be stored for a longer period, which cannot exceed ten (10) years (e.g. for tax purposes).
10. COSMOTE Payments intends to publish the details of the Winners and Runners-up within the App, with a view to enhancing the transparency of the Contest. By accepting these Terms, Participants grant the Data Controller their consent to the publication of their details within the App in the event of their selection as Winners and/or Runners-up. In such a case, the data to be published are as follows:
- Full name
- Status (Winner or Runner-up)
- Order of selection
Upon publication, the above data shall be accessible to an unlimited number of persons. Should any Participant not wish their details to be published, they are kindly requested to refrain from participating in the Contest.
11. The Participants have the following rights regarding the processing of their personal data, which are met under the terms and conditions of the applicable legislation:
- Right of access: the right to receive information about the personal data subject to processing (e.g. the purposes of processing, the types of data, the recipients to whom they are communicated, the period for which they are retained) and to be provided copies thereof.
- Right to rectification: the right to request the correction of their data (e.g. correction of contact details).
- Right to erasure: the right to request the deletion of their personal data if they are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were processed or if they withdraw their consent.
- Right to restriction of processing: the right to request the restriction of processing for a specific purpose.
- Right to object: the right to object, in cases in which they do not want their personal data to be processed.
- Right to portability: the right to transfer the data to another controller.
- Right to withdraw consent: the right to withdraw consent to any processing of personal data that follows the granting of such consent, where that consent constitutes the lawful basis for the processing.
The Organiser has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) based on the provisions of the applicable legislation. To contact the Data Protection Officer, data subjects may send an e-mail to customerprivacy@cosmotepayments.gr.
In order to exercise their rights, Participants may send:
a. an e-mail to customerprivacy@cosmotepayments.gr, or
b. a fax to +30 2102511888, or
c. a letter to COSMOTE Payments Customer Service, 99 Kifissias Ave., GR-15124, Marousi, regarding ‘Exercising of Personal Data Rights’, stating their full name and their mobile telephone or landline connection number.
12. Data Subjects retain the right to lodge a complaint, via a special web portal, with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (Athens, 1–3 Kifissias Avenue, 115 23 | tel: +30 210 6475600). Detailed instructions for submitting a complaint are provided on the Authority’s website.
The Organiser shall respond to the requests free of charge without delay, within one (1) month from the receipt of the request. In exceptional cases, this deadline may be extended by two (2) months, if the complexity of the request so requires. In any case, the Organiser shall make notification regarding this extension and the reason for the delay.
If it is found that the request is clearly unfounded or excessive, the Organiser reserves the right to request payment of a reasonable fee to its satisfaction, taking into account the administrative costs for its execution, or even to refuse to follow up the request.
13. The Organiser shall take appropriate organisational and technical measures to secure the data and protect them from accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, alteration, prohibited dissemination or access, and any other form of unlawful processing.
14. Terms 9 to 14 pertain to the collection and processing of personal data of Participants in the context of the Contest. In all other respects, the processing of the personal data of the Data Subjects upon commencement and during the implementation of their contractual relationship with COSMOTE Payments (including by way of example registration with the ‘payzy’ app, execution of transactions, etc.) shall take place in accordance with the terms of the General Information regarding Personal Data Protection, which is available here.
15. The Terms shall continue to bind Participants even after the expiry of the Contest and for as long as the right of access to the content is retained, in accordance with the above.
16. During the Contest, the Organiser reserves the right to amend any of its terms, informing Participants by any appropriate means (e.g. by e-mail, push notification, text message, or via its website).
17. Participation in the Contest requires and implies the explicit and unreserved acceptance of all these Terms. Furthermore, the Organiser shall not be liable for any malfunction that may result in the temporary or permanent cessation of the Contest. In this context, it is noted that by accepting the Terms, the Participant declares that they have read and understood them and that they agree to and accept them. In the event of any disagreement or objection regarding the Terms, App users must refrain from participating in the Contest. Should any Participant wish to withdraw their consent to participate in the Contest, they may submit a relevant request by sending an email to support@payzy.gr with the subject line ‘Withdrawal of consent to Contest’.
18. Participants must act legally and within the framework of fair dealing and these Terms. If any Participant act or omission is deemed by COSMOTE Payments as illegal, abusive, or non-contractual, then the latter reserves the right, among other things, to disqualify the Participant from the Contest.
19. These Terms are governed by Greek law and any dispute as to their interpretation and/or application shall be resolved exclusively by the courts of Athens, with express prorogation of any other local jurisdiction.
